Barista Dial-In ("we," "our," or "us") operates Barista Dial-In (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, optional display name, and a securely hashed password.
• Espresso Data: We store the shots you log — equipment, dose, grind, yield, timing, tasting notes, and photos you choose to analyze — to provide and sync your dial-in history.
• Subscription Information: We collect subscription status and purchase receipts to manage your Pro subscription. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) through RevenueCat; we do not store credit card or payment details.
• Usage Data: We track the number of AI analyses generated to enforce free-tier limits and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI espresso calibration, crema diagnosis, and dial-in advice
• To sync and back up your shot history across your devices
• To manage your account, subscription, and usage limits
• To improve our AI suggestion quality over time
• To communicate important updates about the service

3. AI Data Processing

Coffee bag and espresso shot images, along with the shot context you provide, are sent to Google's Gemini AI to generate calibration and diagnosis. This data is processed in real-time and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not retain images beyond the request and what you choose to save in your history.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. All API communications use HTTPS encryption. Your Google AI API key is held only on our server and is never exposed to the app.

5. Data Sharing

• Google Gemini AI: Shot images and context are shared to generate AI suggestions.
• RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase data is shared to verify and manage in-app purchases.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell or trade your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and shot data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app or by contacting us at the email below.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your shot history

8. Children's Privacy

Barista Dial-In is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
